Rock Hill, SC
30 Minute Session
Y'all....this COVID 19 is wreaking havoc on so many things, not just the health of the world but on huge life events like births, weddings and high school graduations. If there's anyway any of us can make these things special for those having to experience them differently, because of lock downs, we should do what we can, if we're able.
Yesterday evening, I had the privilege of creating some normalcy, but also something special for one of the 2020 high school graduates.
We met at a small but beautiful park, Glencairn Gardens, here near the downtown area of Rock Hill. This time of year, this park would be packed with joggers, power walkers, loungers and those doing pictures for graduations. This year, it was nearly empty. Which...for a photographer, is a dream come true in a gorgeous garden setting like this one.
Cathryn is such a sweet gal, quiet but oh so willing to pose for pictures. She was a natural!
She has played in band, including drums, which she brought mementos to include in the shoot.
We strolled through the warm evening light of the gardens, pausing to take pictures amongst the flowers, all the while chatting and laughing.
This girl has an exciting new chapter in her life this coming fall when she attends Charleston Southern University. She's going to fit well in that southern dainty, charming, sweet city - just like she is.
