Location: Specialty Shops - Southpark, Charlotte, NC
30 mins of shooting time
Over Labor Day weekend, I had the most wonderful reunion with this awesome couple. We had been separated for about 13 years and yesterday we got to reunite in Charlotte, NC. I have known Kim since high school and we had been the best of buds, helping each other through rough times and seasons of celebration. When we were in college, she met Perry who proved to be her knight in shining armor - but honestly, I think they saved each other. After the two of them transferred to James Madison University, I'd visit them regularly, hitting the mall with Kim and adorable shops owned by the Mennonites (many of whom live in the Shenandoah Valley), we'd take day trips to places like Massanutten Ski Resort and Richmond. Soon after though, life through in some major changes and we lost touch. Over the years, I've missed my dear friend and Perry (her now hubby).
Through the new and just as major life changes, that are occurring for me at the moment, we were finally able to reconnect, just like the Peaches and Herb song,"Reunited and It Feels So Good". We spent our time with hours of chatting, laughing and crying....and of course, shopping! We even worked in a mini session!
Their hotel they stayed at, Charlotte Marriott Southpark, is connected to Specialty Shops Southpark, a high-end strip mall with beautiful walkways and fountains and the most adorable little shops. We tried on a bunch of cute clothes at Ivy & Leo and checked out the goodies at Renaissance Patisserie.
I can't wait to see these two again. Hopefully it will be sooner than later.
